About our wishlist service and how to use it....

The Findmeagift.com wishlist service is for use by our account holders (if you do not have an account, setting one up is quick, free and easy - click here).

What is a wishlist?
A wishlist is a list of all the things that you would like from our site - either for yourself, or as a reminder for Christmas shopping for friends and relatives etc.

How does it work?
Providing you are logged in, you can create new wishlists or view/edit existing ones. From your wishlist manager screen, you can choose to email a list to your friends and family (for example as a wedding list - or if you're really organised as a christmas or birthday list for yourself).

Once you have set up the basic details of the list (ie. event date and wishlist title) you can start adding products to it. Every product has an 'add to wishlist' button on the main information window (you can see this main information window by clicking on the product thumbnails or on the 'more information' button next to each thumbnail). When you see a product you like, just click the 'add to wishlist' button and select which list you would like to add it to (if you have more than one).

You can view or edit your wishlist at any time - just click on the blue 'wishlists' tab button at the top of any of our pages, click the 'view/edit wishlist' button and enter your username and password..

Your wishlist is kept until the event expiry date (which you entered) and is then deleted, but you can delete it before this if you wish.

How do I get my friends and family to use it?
You can click on the 'email wishlist' button from your wishlist manager window to setup a list of your friends/family. Just enter their names and e-mail addresses, type a quick message and press send. The message will include the unique id code for your list plus full instructions for use. You get sent a copy for reference as well.

Your family and friends can purchase items off your list (without your knowledge if you choose... you wouldn't want to ruin the surprise would you!?). Once an item has been purchased, this is shown on the list so that other friends know that somebody has already got you that item... so no annoying duplicates!
