The Luke Skywalker Lightsabre power-up and power-down light effects are so perfect because they are produced by a string of 64 super-bright Green LEDs that ignite sequentially inside the blade.

Luke's Lightsaber features five motion sensor controlled sound effects digitally recorded from the movie: power-up, idle hum, swing, clash, and power-down.

Luke Skywalker's Lightsaber blade has 3 built-in motion sensors for super sensitivity: 2 for detecting movement and 1 for detecting the impact of the blade all of whice produce there own perfectly realistic noises.

Luke Skywalker Lightsaber has a durable metal replica handle which looks and feels like a real lightsaber.

You certainly cheered me up since I'd had a crap day at work. As soon as I saw the lightsaber I saw the BIG KID in me let out. as soon as I put the batteries in & went out the back. I switched it on & I was a Jedi! Lol The Lightsaber is fantastic, its really light compared to my other FX Lightsaber. I got a green ROTJ Luke lightsaber as a surprise birthday prezzie. I love this thing! It's probably the coolest gadget I own. The blade glows like the real thing and in subdued lighting looks amazing. Add the sound effects and it's hard to believe you can't remove limbs! The hilt is a pretty good looking replica and has surprisingly good balance for all those spinny jedi moves. It's also pretty darn sturdy. If you're a star wars fan, you have to have one of these.
