After a welcome you will be given an introduction to the various types of skid situations by your instructor. You will learn how to anticipate skid conditions and more importantly, how to get out of them. After some demonstrations from your instructor you and the other members of your group will take it in turns recovering and avoiding skids. Driving a specially modified Renault Megane skid car you'll replicate different forms of skids by electronically shifting the weight distribution of your car. We are certain you'll leave Silverstone an improved, much safer driver. What's more this is the only driving experience you can take at Silverstone if you've only just taken your driving test.

All About The Silverstone Skid Control Driving Experience

This experience is available on selected weekdays and limited weekend dates, throughout the year.

You will spend approximately 2½ hours at the venue, with approximately 30 minutes behind the wheel.

The minimum age to participate in this activity is 17 years old.
The minimum height is 1.57m (5ft 2"). The maximum height is 2m (6ft 7-inch). The maximum weight is 114kg (18 stone). This experience isn’t suitable for those who are pregnant or suffer from epilepsy or a heart condition.
You must hold a full, valid driving licence, which will need to be presented on the day.

There will be up to 11 other participants in your group.

You are welcome to bring spectators to watch.
