When Peter Parker Spud was bitten by a toxic spider as a boy on a school outing, no-one could have imagined the reaction his spud shaped body would have. A reaction between his potato juices and the toxic venom caused an unnatural growth and development of spider-like qualities and an unrivalled strength! As these developments progressed Peter Parker Potato took on the identity of Spider Spud, a half spud/half spider crime fighter faced admired by the public but forever facing a gruesome death through boiling, frying and perhaps worst of all... peeling.

Spider Spud maintains he was not born to be made into chips, but born to fight injustice in a tight red and blue suit which his lower "beer belly"- like shape pokes out of. And of course being a potato head, Spider Spud comes with a host of witty accessories and the usual eyes, ears, mouth and nose that make Mr Potato head the classic that he is.

Spider Spud also comes with a Spidey suit and facemask as well as a web that appears as if it's shooting from his wrist.
