Survival in the Wild Experience Weekend Course

The ultimate adventure surviving in the wild with only your new-found skills to keep you out of trouble. You'll be taught a new awareness of the great outdoors on this 2-day course set in some of the UK's most magnificent landscapes. Under the watchful eye of a forces trained instructor you'll set snares to catch food, send up a distress signal, carry out basic first aid and much, much more. You'll spend the two days being taught many aspects of survival and safety while sleeping in tents and shelters.

The survival in the wild experience covers navigation and safety, edible plants, improvised weapons, traps and snares, fishing techniques, water purification, distress signals, fire lighting by friction, shelters and food preparation. A fantastic experience for all outdoors enthusiasts. Programmes may vary slightly depending on the location.

When can you go?
Selected weekends, all year, although you may prefer to avoid the winter months!

How long does the activity last?
The course can either last 2 days and 2 nights or 2 days and 1 night depending on your choice

For a 1 x Night Stay, you must choose either the Penderyn or East Grinstead location

For a 2 x Night Stay, you must choose either the Exeter or Knightley Park location

What you need to know
You must be at least 18 years old to participate in this activity. You should be fit enough to carry your own rucksack over varied terrain for about 15 miles over the two days. You should have a positive attitude and an open mind. No experience or qualifications are necessary.

There will be a maximum of 11 others in your group.
