Thunderous noise, churning water, rapids all around you - and some serious teamwork required to get you through it all. This is the unbelievable thrill of white water rafting. You can raft on man-made rapids, which are guaranteed to give you lots of white water excitement! Alternatively you can try white water rafting in the Welsh mountains, where you will enjoy the buzz of this sport in delightful unspoilt surroundings. For natural rapids, white water rafting is dependent on water levels and therefore can only run if the water is high enough.

We ensure that you have a thorough safety briefing and that you’re professionally looked after by a qualified instructor. Then you enjoy travelling down river on a delightful raft. For man made rapids - the session begins with a safety talk and tuition to perfect your paddling technique. Then, under the guidance of your qualified instructor, you and the rest of the group will travel in an inflatable raft up to 5 times in this 2 hour session. This is an activity of sheer buzz - you will love it, although you’re bound to get very, very wet! Programmes and timings may vary according to location.

When can you go?
Selected Sundays at 9am.

How long does the activity last?
The total experience lasts approximately 2 hours at manmade venues and 2 - 3½ hours at the natural.

What you need to know
The minimum age is 16 years at the natural venues and 18 years at the manmade. Please advise if you have a medical condition that may affect this activity. This activity isn’t always suitable for contact lenses & glasses wearers. Participants need to be reasonably fit. 95kg (15 stone) is the maximum weight. The activity isn’t suitable for pregnant women and you need to be able to swim at least 50 metres or be confident of being in the water.

You and how many others?
Depending on the venue you can take up to 8 people on a raft.

Family and friends
Spectators are allowed to watch from the side for this activity.

We cannot control the weather
This activity is dependent on appropriate weather conditions
