Yacht Race Day Experience

Get the thrill of close yacht racing in a modern Cork 1720 yacht. Under the expert instruction of your skipper you'll learn the ropes in the morning before an afternoon of racing in these fast and manoeuvrable craft. Your experience starts with tea/coffee and breakfast croissants while you have a safety briefing. Your skipper will then take you out to sea to demonstrate the racing tactics and techniques you'll need. You'll break for lunch before testing your tactical and sailing skills in a series of short races.

The winning team will enjoy a race presentation at the end of the day, when you can swap stories over a drink. The racing will largely take place around buoys at sea and the number of boats will vary depending on the number of people booked on the day.

All About The Yacht Race Day Experience

When can you go?
This activity is available on selected Sundays, between April and October.

How long does the activity last?
Your experience will last for a full day.

What you need to know
The minimum age for this activity is 18 years. You must be reasonably physically fit. Please advise us of any medical conditions in advance. You will be asked to sign a disclaimer on the day. Non-swimmers are welcome. No previous experience is necessary and full instruction is included.

You and how many others?
There will be a maximum of 30 people on the day, with 5 people to a boat.

Family and friends
Spectators are welcome to join us for lunch, but do need to order and pay separately.

We cant control the weather
This activity is dependent on appropriate weather conditions
