Yacht Sailing Experience

What a day learning to sail! On arrival you're offered refreshments while given a safety briefing complete with introduction to the yacht by your very own skipper. The yacht will then motor down the picturesque Beaulieu River setting sail towards the open sea. You'll be shown how to wind winches, handle sails and ropes and steer a course. You'll be encouraged to take an active part in sailing the yacht.

The yacht arrives at the Isle of Wight for lunchtime, where you will have an hour ashore to explore the busy town of Cowes, home to the world famous sailing regatta. On your return the yacht will sail out of Cowes heading back towards the Solent and Beaulieu River.

When can you go?This activity is available on selected weekdays and weekends, April to October.

How long does the activity last?
The activity will last approximately 7 - 7.5 hours. 9:30am - 4:30/5:00pm

What you need to know
To participate in this activity you must be at least 18 years old.
You'll need to be reasonably fit to take part in this activity. This activity isn’t suitable for wheelchair users.
No experience or qualifications are necessary.

You and how many others?
There'll be a maximum of seven other people in your group.

Family and friends
Sorry, you can't bring family and friends along to watch you do this activity. Everyone has an active role to play.

This activity is dependent on appropriate weather conditions
